Job description

Join Our Award-Winning Team at GoodOaks that value and rewards the caring people who work with us!

At GoodOaks, we're proud of the professional yet personal care that our carers provide. As an award-winning home care company, we strive to be the go-to provider of quality care by valuing, developing, and rewarding the dedicated individuals who work with us.

We’re looking for a Live In Care Professional to join our brilliant team in Bournemouth to provide quality care to people in their homes. As a GoodOaks carer, you’d make a huge difference to the quality of our clients’ lives, having enough time to go the extra mile.

We work hard to develop care roles into a rewarding career that people can progress in; we offer salaried and flexible contracts, paid mileage, career progression through funded diplomas, and our Team Leader structure that we only recruit from within for.

What will you do?

  1. Provide compassionate and personalised care to individuals in need at their own home.
  2. Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  3. Administer medications as per the chart.
  4. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  5. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation and laundry.
  6. Accompany clients to appointments and outings as needed.
  7. Maintain accurate records of care provided.

Who are you?

  1. You have previous experience in caregiving or a related field.
  2. Strong communicator with the ability to build rapport with clients, their family, and friends.
  3. Compassionate and patient nature.
  4. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  5. Ideally, you have a valid driver's license and car (for running errands) but it’s not essential.
  6. You already have the right to work in the UK and don’t require sponsorship.

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change and vary depending on our client’s needs.

What we offer:

  1. Full-time (12-hour shifts) with regular days off.
  2. Competitive rates of pay from £700 per week & company pension.
  3. Travel expenses provided up to £60 per return journey for placements.
  4. Optional On-Call System paying £250 per week on your week off.
  5. Paid DBS check if required.
  6. Supportive, professional, and common-sense management and ongoing support.
  7. Pay and benefit package includes paid mileage, holiday pay, and paid training.
  8. Ongoing professional and personal development, training, and progression.
  9. Long stay bonus and referral bonus scheme.
  10. Employee discount scheme.
  11. Paid volunteer days.
  12. We will undertake a DBS and right to work check prior to you starting.
