Job summary

Manorcourt Homecare is seeking a compassionate Live-in Carer to join our dedicated team. You will provide person-centred care in clients' homes, supporting health, wellbeing and independence with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities include personal care, medication support, meal preparation, companionship, and light domestic tasks. Strong communication, reliability and the ability to work independently are essential; access to own transport is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months experience delivering personal care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Flexible and able to manage priorities.
  • Transport is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care (hygiene, washing, dressing, etc.).
  • Administer medication and monitor health needs as directed.
  • Assist with meal preparation and nutrition.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction.
  • Carry out light domestic tasks in clients' homes.

Job description

If you are kind, compassionate and committed, we would love for you to join our dedicated care team, as a Live in Carer for Manorcourt Homecare. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, helping them to maintain their health, wellbeing, and independence.

What would a typical day look like?
  • Supporting individuals with personal care (hygiene, washing, dressing, etc.)
  • Supporting with the administering of medication
  • Assisting with meal preparation
  • Providing companionship and offering social interaction
  • Carrying out light domestic tasks

You will build meaningful relationships with the individuals you support, your fellow carers and your branch support teams; promoting our company values, which are at the heart of everything we do.

Due to the nature of this role, good communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Access to your own transport is an advantage but not essential.

  • Minimum 6 months experience delivering personal care
  • Flexible approach to work and the ability to manage, priorities and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate an ability to ensure confidentiality
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Level 2 health and social care diploma / apprenticeship framework is desirable but not essential as an opportunity to undertake this course will be available
