Job summary

Manorcourt Homecare is seeking a Live-in Carer to provide person-centred care to clients in their own homes within our East Anglia network. You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication support and companionship, helping clients maintain health, wellbeing, and independence.

The role emphasizes building meaningful relationships with clients and team colleagues, working independently with flexible patterns and full PPE supplied for safety.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months experience delivering personal care.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage priorities.
  • Access to own transport is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care in clients’ homes.
  • Assist with personal care tasks (hygiene, dressing, etc.).
  • Support with medication administration.
  • Assist with meal preparation and light domestic tasks.
  • Offer companionship and social interaction.
  • Build relationships with clients, carers and branch teams.

Job description

If you are kind, compassionate and committed, we would love for you to join our dedicated care team, as a Live in Carer for Manorcourt Homecare.

In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, helping them to maintain their health, wellbeing, and independence.

What would a typical day look like?

  • Supporting individuals with personal care (hygiene, washing, dressing, etc.)
  • Supporting with the administering of medication
  • Assisting with meal preparation
  • Providing companionship and offering social interaction
  • Carrying out light domestic tasks

You will build meaningful relationships with the individuals you support, your fellow carers and your branch support teams; promoting our company values, which are at the heart of everything we do.

Due to the nature of this role, good communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Access to your own transport is an advantage but not essential.

  • Minimum 6 months experience delivering personal care
  • Flexible approach to work and the ability to manage, priorities and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate an ability to ensure confidentiality
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Full PPE is provided to ensure the safety of our carers and clients.

  • Level 2 health and social care diploma / apprenticeship framework is desirable but not essential as an opportunity to undertake this course will be available
