Job summary

Medicare People is seeking a dedicated Live-in Carer to support clients in Balcombe and surrounding areas. You will provide person-centred care, companionship, meal preparation and medication support in clients' homes, helping maintain independence and wellbeing.

The role offers flexible placements from 4 days to 8 weeks, with free accommodation, a food budget and 24/7 care management support. Right to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of professional UK care experience.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care within clients' homes.
• Build meaningful relationships through companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming.
• Support mobility and safe moving and handling.
• Prepare meals and encourage nutrition and hydration.
• Administer medication in line with care plans.
• Support light household duties, including cleaning and laundry.
• Run errands such as shopping and collecting prescriptions.
• Monitor wellbeing and report concerns appropriately.
• Work closely with families and healthcare professionals.
• Keep accurate and detailed care records.
