Job Summary

GracePath Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregivers to join our growing team of care professionals across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering person-centred care and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. This position includes UK visa sponsorship for eligible international candidates currently residing in the UK looking for a Tier 2 visa switch or extension.

As a Live-In Caregiver, you will reside in the clients home, providing round-the-clock support and companionship to ensure their well-being, independence, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming

  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions as per care plans

  • Prepare nutritious meals and support dietary needs

  • Carry out light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and shopping

  • Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce social isolation

  • Support with mobility and physical activities, including using hoists and walking aids

  • Liaise with family members, healthcare professionals, and care coordinators

  • Maintain accurate records and report any changes in the clients condition

  • Respect and uphold client confidentiality, dignity, and independence

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to show empathy, patience, and genuine care for the elderly and vulnerable

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

  • Willingness to live in a clients home for scheduled durations

  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a care setting

  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and responsibly

Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar caregiving, domiciliary, or healthcare assistant role is preferred

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to obtain) is desirable

  • Experience with dementia, physical disabilities, or palliative care is an advantage

  • International candidates with care experience and eligibility to switch to a Tier 2 Health and Care Worker Visa are encouraged to apply

Working Hours
  • Live-in assignments typically run in 2 to 6-week shifts, followed by a scheduled break

  • Flexibility to work over weekends and holidays as required

  • 24-hour presence required, with regular rest breaks included

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of elderly and disability care needs

  • Familiarity with UK care standards and safeguarding procedures

  • Physically fit to assist with mobility and personal care tasks

  • Ability to adapt to different home environments and client personalities
