Job summary

Bluebird Care Winchester, Eastleigh and Romsey is seeking a Live-in Care Assistant to support customers in their own homes across Hampshire. You will live in the home, delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing.

You’ll work independently with team support, providing personal care, meal preparation, medication support, and companionship. The role offers expert training and a competitive weekly salary of £777-£978.67, with paid breaks and 28 days

Qualifications

• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Aged 18+.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Right to Work in the UK (we cannot accept sponsored staff or visa transfers).
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential—full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care that’s tailored to the customer and encourages their independence.
• Assist with personal care including washing, dressing, continence care and mobility.
• Support with medication and preparing meals.
• Take care of household tasks e.g. laundry, cleaning, shopping and errands.
• Work independently with support from our team for advice and guidance.
• Support customers to stay connected to their community through social activities, hobbies, and visits from loved ones.
• Offer comfort and care through illness, hospital visits, or end-of-life care.
