Location

Some areas this employer covers include Maidenhead, Henley-on-Thames, Twyford, Wallingford, and surrounding areas of Berkshire & South Oxfordshire.

Pay rates, hours & benefits

  • £120-150 per day plus pension scheme, paid holidays, and Employee Assistance programme.
  • £45 meal contribution each week
  • Shifts – varied based on client needs
  • Each assignment will provide you a comfortable bedroom with reasonable amenities
  • The areas we cover have some lovely countryside, beautiful market towns and villages, close to the river Thames yet still easily accessible to London.

Job Role

Becoming a Live-In Care Professional is such a rewarding job within your community. You will support our clients in their own homes and carry out a variety of duties; no two days will be the same. This may include:

  • Helping someone get out of bed, washed/showered, dressed and other elements of personal care.
  • Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Medication administration.
  • Helping with light housework, laundry, vacuuming, ironing, or a spot of gardening.
  • Helping with grocery shopping.
  • Being a listening ear and treating them with the respect and dignity everyone deserves.

Qualifications

What experience and skills are required?

  • Ability to listen, communicate clearly, and build relationships with clients and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner.
  • Respect for people with different backgrounds and beliefs to your own and who may have a range of medical conditions. Commitment to non-discriminatory care practice.
  • Excellent timekeeper who is organized and reliable.
  • This role will require you to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the relevant body.
  • Class 1 business insurance (if using own car for business purposes) or reliable transport.
  • Above all, you will have an empathetic nature and a real passion to make a difference in the life of an older person.
  • Previous experience in supporting individuals with dementia is preferred, including providing companionship, managing behavioral changes, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Experience in moving and handling stroke patients preferred.

Additional Information

As a Live In Care Professional, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay, and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
