About the Live-in Carer Job in Worthing (Self-Employed)

Medicare People is looking for compassionate self-employed Live-in Carers in Worthing to provide personalised support to people who wish to remain at home. Our introductory service introduces skilled carers directly to families seeking dependable, one-to-one live-in care.

As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Worthing, you'll support clients with daily living activities while respecting their independence, preferences, and routines. Your responsibilities may include personal care, companionship, meal planning, medication assistance, mobility support, and light household duties.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with clients and their families while providing care in a familiar home setting. You'll help individuals maintain their dignity and quality of life while benefiting from flexible placements and accommodation during assignments.

We introduce self-employed live-in carers to families throughout Worthing and surrounding areas, creating meaningful opportunities for passionate care professionals.

We are currently recruiting self-employed Live-in Carers for our introductory care service.

What you'll do

• Deliver personalised care and support at home
• Assist with washing, dressing and personal care routines
• Provide companionship and reduce feelings of loneliness
• Help clients move around safely
• Prepare meals and encourage regular hydration
• Administer medication according to care plans
• Support household tasks and laundry
• Help with shopping and collecting prescriptions
• Observe and report changes in health or wellbeing
• Maintain detailed and accurate care records
• Work alongside families and other professionals
• Promote dignity, wellbeing and independence

What you'll bring

• Minimum 6 months' professional care experience in the UK
• A caring attitude and genuine desire to help others
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence working independently and managing your time
• Experience supporting clients with daily living activities
• Adaptability and a positive approach to care
• Reliability, professionalism and attention to detai
• A commitment to person-centred support
• Right to work in the UK
• Medication experience is desirable
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is welcomed but not essential
