Live-In Care Assistant – Recruit to Match | Newcastle

We are currently looking to recruit both day and waking nights Live-In Care Assistants to support a customer in Newcastle.

Are you a compassionate, experienced carer looking for a rewarding live-in opportunity with a calm and cooperative customer? We’re recruiting a Live-In Care Assistant for a customer in the suburbs of Newcastle as part of our recruit-to-match approach. This is a dedicated placement for a kind, patient, and attentive carer who can offer personalised, one-to-one care in the comfort of the customer’s own home.

About The Customer

You’ll be supporting a lovely, quiet lady who values her independence and enjoys her own space. She’s well-travelled and open-minded, with a warm nature when she feels like chatting. She lives in a spacious, semi-detached home with off-street parking and uses walking frames and a stairlift to remain mobile — all movements must be supervised for safety.

Care needs include:

  • Supervision when mobilising
  • Support with showering and personal care
  • Full support with medication management
  • Meal preparation and light housekeeping (she prefers to graze rather than eat full meals)
  • Awareness of piped oxygen in the home from a trip hazard perspective
  • Support with memory prompts and maintaining routines

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone kind, respectful, and reliable
  • An excellent communicator who respects personal space
  • Experience supporting older adults with mobility and memory needs
  • Awareness of safety in environments with medical equipment (e.g., oxygen)
  • Ability to prepare nutritious light meals and gently encourage food intake

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay, starting from £800 per week ranging up to £1,000 per week
  • Paid mileage at 30p per mile (for agreed customer outings)
  • £200 pre-employment completion bonus*
  • The opportunity to build meaningful relationships with customers and their families
  • Ongoing support and training, ensuring you have the tools you need to deliver exceptional care
  • The chance to work in a supportive, community-focused environment with one of the region’s leading care providers
  • £250 refer a friend scheme*
  • Free DBS check
  • 28 days paid holiday inc. bank holidays
  • And much more!
  • terms and conditions apply
