Job summary

Bluebird Care Andover and Stockbridge is seeking a Live-in Care Assistant to provide high-quality, person-centred care in customers’ own homes across Hampshire and South Buckinghamshire. You will live in with the client, promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing while working as part of a compassionate team.

The role emphasizes tailored care plans, ongoing training, and opportunities to build lasting relationships with clients and their families.

Qualifications

• Kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Deliver care that’s tailored to the customer and encourages their independence
• Assist with personal care including washing, dressing, continence care and mobility
• Support with medication and preparing meals
• Take care of household tasks e.g. laundry, cleaning, shopping and errands
• Work independently with support from our team for advice and guidance
• Support customers to stay connected to their community through social activities, hobbies, and visits from loved ones
• Offer comfort and care through illness, hospital visits, or end-of-life care

About the Role

What We’re Looking For

• Aged 18+
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Right to Work in the UK (we cannot accept sponsored staff or visa transfers)
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential- full training is provided
