Paragon Home Healthcareis hiring alive-in care assistantfor a friendly and activeIrish man with a spinal cord injury. Despite his injury, which he's had for many years, he remains highlyindependent, spontaneous, and busy. He leads anactive lifestyleand is looking for a care assistant who can support him in his daily activities while respecting his independence. He requires a live-in carer to help assist him withmoving and handling, his daily tasks etc. He likes chatting andsocialising, visiting the cinema, gym and his family and he has a car he uses for daily trips out, therefore he will need acarer who can drive.This role will suit someone who enjoys a physical and active role as the client transfers frequently requiring specific moving and handling procedures and enjoys being active most days. He lives in aspacious homewith a garden with his partner, his family often visit who have adog.

With this client, you'll be engaged in a2-week live-in assignment, succeeded by a 2-week rest period. Following 1-week rest, you have the option to work with another client for 1 week. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of ourStandby rota, working conveniently from home. To support your journey, we provide comprehensive training, equipping you to excel in your caregiving role.

Job type: Live-in

Payrate: £134.31 per day

Driver: Essential– carer must be a confident driver with clean driver's licence

Live-In Care Job Overview

As a Carer (sometimes referred to as a Personal Assistant), you will assist the client with daily care, activities of daily living, and mobility needs. Specific duties will be detailed in the Client's care plan and daily activities, managed through our electronic visit system. Responsibilities include personal care, spinal injury toileting, mobility support, meal preparation, and more. Comprehensive training and support are provided to ensure you can deliver the necessary care.
