  • Good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Ability to manage full caseload of litigation matters.

Responsibilities

The Role
Due to growth within the litigation department, my client is now looking for a confident and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join their busy team in their Leicester, Bedford or Northampton office. The successful candidate will handle a broad caseload with a focus on contentious probate and general civil litigation matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a full caseload of litigation matters from inception to conclusion

  • Advising clients on a range of disputes, with a focus on contentious probate

  • Conducting legal research and pre-claim investigations

  • Drafting pleadings, statements of case, and court documentation

  • Attending court hearings and conferences, with or without counsel

  • Working with internal and external parties to progress cases efficiently

  • Supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters as needed

  • Mentoring and supervising junior team members when required

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in a busy, collaborative team.

  • Is a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive

  • Has ideally 3+ years’ experience in litigation (contentious probate desirable)
