LITIGATION SOLICITOR – DISPUTE RESOLUTION

PQE Level: 10+ Years

Type: Full-Time Permanent

THE ROLE:

Our well-established client law firm based in Potters Bar is looking for an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor of at least 10 years PQE. The successful candidate will be able to run their own caseload without supervision and will have the opportunity to expand the department by re-establishing connections with clients and creating new relationships with clients generated from property work and enquiries from the firm's website.

The successful candidate will work independently with the support of an experienced Paralegal, a full-time legal secretary, and a part-time legal secretary. Responsibilities include providing digital dictation to the secretaries and further support to the partners, with an expectation to expand the department.

Qualifications:

Ideally, candidates will have worked in private practice handling a general litigation caseload that includes a mix of property litigation (residential and commercial landlord and tenant), general contract disputes, forfeiture, and dilapidation claims for commercial properties. Experience with residential and commercial leases is essential. Experience in probate disputes and inheritance act claims is advantageous.

  4. Advocacy experience for remote timetabling hearings is essential
  5. Instructing Counsel to attend hearings is preferred
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will work in the office full-time, but flexible working arrangements (3 days in the office and 2 days from home) will be considered.

Additional Information:

Availability: ASAP
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience
Holidays: Standard plus bank holidays
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
