Job summary

Clayton Legal is seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join its team, focusing on Property Litigation, Contentious Probate, and broader civil litigation matters. You will handle a varied caseload in a supportive environment where your expertise is valued.

You will play a key role in advising clients, drafting pleadings and settlements, and progressing cases across a range of disputes with a client‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with Property Litigation and Contentious Probate experience.
• Broad exposure to civil litigation matters.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
• Experience with legal research and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage property litigation matters including landlord/tenant and boundary disputes.
• Handle contentious probate matters and estate disputes.
• Advise clients across a range of litigation matters.
• Draft and review pleadings, contracts and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive service.

The Role

You'll play a key role within the litigation team, managing a varied caseload while delivering practical, commercially focused advice to clients.

Your work will include:

• Managing property litigation matters, including landlord and tenant disputes, boundary disputes, and contractual property issues
• Handling contentious probate matters and estate disputes
• Advising clients across a range of wider litigation matters
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, pleadings, and settlement agreements
• Conducting legal research and developing effective case strategies
• Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
