Job summary

Funding Circle in London is seeking an experienced paralegal to support insolvency and litigation matters from day one. The role offers hybrid working, with three days in the London office, and the chance to own and manage real-time tasks that impact our customers and team.

You will draft pre-action protocol correspondence, prepare documents for recovery actions, negotiate security documents, and manage a large caseload while coordinating with external panel firms to deliver effective legal

Qualifications

• Experienced paralegal with ability to draft and review legal documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and succinct advisory skills.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters.
• Capable of working independently with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Drafting pre-action protocol correspondence and ensuring compliance with the protocol.
• Drafting with adequate supervision documents to commence and conclude formal recovery actions (liquidation, administration, bankruptcy, county court).
• Drafting and negotiating security documents, such as charges and deeds of priority, and settlement agreements.
• Negotiating with regard to Insolvency and Litigation matters.
• Managing a large caseload and managing costs and recovery of costs.
• Assisting with administrative duties related to case management.
• Liaising with external panel firms regarding issues and cases.

The role

• Drafting pre-action protocol correspondence and ensuring compliance with the protocol.

• Drafting with adequate supervision documents in order to commence and conclude formal recovery action on behalf of investors, whether it is liquidation, administration, bankruptcy or county court procedures.
