We are currently recruiting for a talented Litigation Midwife to join our first class, Clinical Support Team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their clients. The role of the Litigation Midwife is to support Fee Earners in the review and analysis of medical records and expert reports. This role will consider potential areas within Clinical Negligence cases for investigation in respect of likely Breach of Duty (BOD) & advice as to why and will provide expert advice to the fee earners.
Ensure time recording is managed to enable achievement of personal targets and support fee earners in the achievement of theirs.
A Qualification in nursing such as RGN, BSC (Hons) Midwifery & at least 5 years’ experience in midwifery & midwifery NMC registration. Understanding of Clinical Negligence law and practice. Experience within a Clinical Negligence team is desirable. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and relevant practice and business IT systems, particularly Partner and Medbrief. Excellent typing skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to think logically and analytically. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work from various stakeholders. Commercially aware and highly motivated. Proactive. Good attention to detail. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
