Locum Licensing Lawyer – 3 months + - Predominantly Remote Working – Part Time – Up to £55 per hour Umbrella – East Anglia

Position:

Locum Licensing Lawyer

Working Pattern:

Part Time (2-3 days a week)

Working Arrangement:

Predominantly Remote Working, Court attendance when required

Hourly Rate:

Up to £55 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and can demonstrate knowledge of Licensing matters.

Duties may include:

1. Undertake all aspects of Licensing proceedings in Magistrates Court and associated appeals
2. Provide Licensing advice to the Licensing Authority
3. Act as Legal Adviser for Local Authority at Committee and Sub-Committee hearings including handling taxis licenses/appeals
4. Draft and issue relevant proceedings in the Magistrates and/or County Court
5. Take a lead on, review and interpret new legislation and advise officers of the impact of those changes on their relevant departments
