Job description

Kennedys is seeking aLitigation Assistantto join theComplex Hubwithin our growing Motor team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to litigated motor claims and develop key skills in complex, higher-value work. The successful applicant will support multiple fee earners across our UK offices and receive structured, on-the-job training with a view to developing technical litigation competencies.

This position is ideal for candidates who are organised, proactive, and looking to grow their litigation experience in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Team

The Complex Hub forms part of our wider Motor department and supports a range of high-quality litigated claims. Our work spans multiple UK offices and involves collaboration across teams and regions. The Motor team at Kennedys is known for its strong insurer client relationships and high standards of client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide litigation support across a range of complex motor claims
  • Assist with CRU and NHS charge requests and diary maintenance
  • Support disclosure processes and document management
  • Liaise with clients, experts, witnesses, and claimant solicitors
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings, conferences, and expert appointments
  • Draft routine correspondence and maintain accurate case records
  • Reserve counsel and track key task deadlines
  • Use the case management system effectively and time-record all activity

Required experience

  • Experience in defendant motor litigation either running your own files and/or assisting in multi-track, mid, large or cat loss motor injury litigation
  • Familiarity with case management and time-recording systems (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload across multiple matters
  • A team player with strong communication and time management skills

For the right candidate, there is scope to build litigation skills and progress within the team as more complex competencies are developed.
