Job summary

MAP Legal Recruitment is assisting a leading London disputes practice to recruit an England & Wales qualified solicitor with 3-4 years PQE for its Litigation & Arbitration team. The role focuses on commercial litigation and international arbitration with a cross-border dimension and close collaboration with partners.

You will handle multiple workstreams, draft pleadings and witness statements, and develop client relationships while supporting pitches and business development in a hybrid London

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 3-4 years' PQE.
• Experience in a well-regarded commercial disputes practice.
• Fluency in cross-border dispute work is advantageous.

Litigation & Arbitration Associate - 3-4 PQE

London | Leading International Practice

We are working with a highly regarded law firm seeking an ambitious Litigation & Arbitration Associate to join its established London disputes practice.

The team handles a broad range of sophisticated commercial and international disputes for businesses, financial institutions and government bodies, with a particularly strong cross-border dimension.

The work includes commercial litigation, international arbitration, fraud, insolvency, financial services disputes, public international law, international trusts and enforcement matters.

The role

You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex, often multi-jurisdictional matters, while taking increasing responsibility for your own work and client relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied caseload of commercial litigation and arbitration matters


• Working on complex and cross-border disputes


• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, submissions and client briefings


• Managing key stages of matters and coordinating with clients, counsel and other advisers


• Supporting pitches, fee proposals and wider business development initiatives


• Developing strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders

About you

We are looking for an England & Wales qualified solicitor with approximately 3-4 years' PQE and a strong grounding in commercial litigation.

You should have:

• Experience gained within a well-regarded commercial disputes practice


• Strong technical and drafting skills


• Experience working on substantial and complex matters


• An interest in international and cross-border disputes


• The ability to manage multiple workstreams and take responsibility for matters


• Strong client relationship and communication skills

Experience in fraud, insolvency and/or commercial arbitration would be particularly desirable. Fluency in an additional language would also be advantageous.
