Job summary

Wrenn School in the Creative Education Trust is seeking a permanent SEND Assistant in the SEND Department to start as soon as possible. The role focuses on one-to-one and small-group support, classroom assistance and reading interventions to remove barriers to learning.

You will work with teaching staff, families and outside agencies to support students with varied needs, including literacy interventions, in a safeguarding-conscious environment. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Aptitude for supporting learning and development of young people.
• Experience delivering literacy interventions or knowledge of SEND.
• Understanding safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Working one-to-one with students.
• Supporting small groups and classroom activities.
• Delivering literacy interventions and reading support.
• Building positive relationships to boost confidence and achievement.
• Collaborating with teaching staff, families and external agencies.
