Seahaven Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Literacy Learning Mentor to deliver targeted literacy interventions, helping students build reading, writing and oracy skills and to develop confidence and independence.
You will work closely with teachers, support staff and families to monitor progress, identify needs and implement strategies that have a lasting impact on learning outcomes; this role also supports school-wide literacy initiatives and professional development opportunities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly organised Literacy Learning Mentor to join our supportive pastoral team at Seahaven Academy. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about literacy, committed to helping young people overcome barriers to learning, and dedicated to ensuring every student achieves their full potential.
In this role, you will lead and deliver targeted literacy interventions that develop students' reading, writing and oracy skills, helping them build confidence, independence and success both in and beyond the classroom. Working closely with teachers, support staff, parents and carers, you will play a key role in identifying students' needs, monitoring progress and implementing strategies that have a lasting impact on learning outcomes.
As a Literacy Learning Mentor, you will champion high aspirations for all students, support the development of effective literacy practices across the school, and contribute to creating a culture where every learner can thrive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with young people, building positive relationships and making a meaningful difference to students' educational journeys.
