Job Overview

Hours: 32.5 hours, Term time (38 weeks) plus 5 training days, Monday - Friday: 08:30-15:30 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Salary: Level 3 (point 7-11) or Level 4 (point 12 - 15) dependent on experience and/ or qualification

Level 3: FTE £25, 584 - £23,388 (actual salary £21,943 - £23,388 pa)

Level 4: FTE £27, 711 - £29,093 (actual salary £23,767 - £24,952 pa)

Hinchingbrooke School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/ Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our literacy team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for raising levels of literacy amongst identified groups of students by providing support to students who are identified as underachieving, disadvantaged or in need of additional support in making progress. This role will require coordination of stakeholders and students as well as planning and delivering intervention strategies. We are looking for a colleague who enjoys working with young people, has a flexible and positive approach and enjoys working as part of a wide team, but can confidently lead strategy implementation. Naturally, you will have a passion for literacy and thrive on engaging students within this area.

The successful candidate will either have in depth relevant experience of a wide range of interventions or be willing to complete training to deliver them.
