We are delighted to offer a secondment opportunity for 12 months to work with us to deliver Listening into Action (LiA) - an exciting approach to staff-led change proven in more than 100 NHS Trusts.

Caroline Donovan, our Chief Executive, is personally lead this and you will report directly to the LiA Lead having seen first-hand how it leads to fast-pace, widespread change for the benefit of staff, service users and patients. This a vital part of our improvement journey!

We are mobilising a team of people to lead deliver of LiA as a top priority. We will engage widely with staff, show visible actions in response, and support many LiA Pioneer Teams to make changes they know matter, from the ground-up. By putting staff at the centre of change, we are making a fundamental shift in how we work and lead. It is exciting!

We are looking to support a full-time role, but we would be open to 2 x Part-time roles (working a minimum of 2 days per week)

About us

Are you currently working as a Band 7 or as a Band 8a with relevant knowledge and experience around LiA methodology?

We are looking for an ambitious, value-driven clinician with a clinical credibility, either through being a clinician by background or through reputation based on improvements made to patient care, to be an LiA Manager, reporting to the LiA Lead. This is a unique and important role, coordinating and organising day-to-day activity to get a movement of change going at NSFT. You will help to lead and navigate our LiA journey, influence people across roles and levels, and support teams to adopt LiA. The role offers the opportunity for a successful candidate to demonstrate and develop their leadership capabilities and style in a strategic environment and in an inspirational way, and to become an accredited LiA champion in the NHS.

Qualifications
  • Degree level standard of education
  • Post-graduate studies or equivalent experience
Experience
  • Experience of working in and leading multi- disciplinary teams and working across organisational boundaries
  • In-depth experience of leading complex service change and / or service improvement
Skills
  • Competent in the communication of highly complex and sensitive information
  • Excellent ability to develop and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels in an organisation, including the ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of health and social care systems
  • Experience of analysing complex data with multiple components of information in both qualitative and quantitative formats
