Liquidity Data & Analytics

Location: London/Hybrid

Contract duration: until end of September

Join HSBC and develop your career in a role focused on safeguarding and optimizing the Group’s balance sheet through liquidity risk management. The Liquidity Data & Analytics Business Analyst will support the enhancement of the internal liquidity framework by creating new methodologies to model the Group’s main liquidity risk drivers.

The role involves identifying areas for improvement within current liquidity risk methodologies, developing enhancements or new models, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Knowledge of regional risk nuances and strategic alignment are essential.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Superset) for dashboards and analytics
• Proficiency in database management and SQL
• Strong business analysis skills, including data analytics and data-driven decision support
• Experience implementing technical solutions for liquidity management
• Understanding of liquidity measures (ILM, LCR, NSFR, PRA110) and related financial systems
• Ability to develop liquidity models in Python, including machine learning applications
• Proficiency in querying and analyzing large datasets
• Ability to work independently, manage offshore resources, and influence stakeholders
• Experience reviewing liquidity risk models and researching industry practices
• Collaboration with business lines and regional teams for insight gathering
• Research and propose modeling methods with central and entity-level calibrations
• Validate new methodologies through data analysis
• Develop proof of concept models and monitor their performance
• Assess liquidity buffer impacts of new methodologies
• Coordinate with technology teams to integrate models into central systems
