Job summary

Talentmark are recruiting a Cheminformatics Researcher to join a leading pharmaceutical company on a 12-month contract. The role is hybrid with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Bracknell office.

You will apply computer-based chemistry methods and AI/ML to explore and design lipid molecules used in targeted lipid nanoparticles. You will help build and improve a virtual library of lipid designs, perform data analysis, and collaborate with scientists to develop predictive models and robust

Qualifications

  • PhD in Cheminformatics, Computational Chemistry, or related field.
  • Experience designing chemical libraries and analysing structure-activity relationships.
  • Strong data analysis and AI/ML experience; basic statistics knowledge.
  • Strong Python programming and data visualization skills.
  • Understanding of lipid nanoparticle formulation is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Represent lipid molecules digitally and build tools to analyse lipid structures.
  • Design new lipid structures using available building blocks, finding useful patterns.
  • Build and improve a virtual lipid library using data analysis and AI/ML.
  • Build and test models predicting how lipid structure affects performance.
  • Create processes to prioritise lipids balancing variety with lab capacity.
  • Maintain high-quality data analysis and collaborate with scientists across the team.
