Job summary

HP Wolf Security in Cambridge, UK, is seeking a Linux Systems Software Developer to maintain the Linux image used by VM guests, keep open-source components up to date, and rapidly address security vulnerabilities. You will work on enterprise software security with hardware-assisted virtualization.

You will join an advanced product team, responsible for developing core components, improving security and performance, and writing tests in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Expert programming experience in C or C++.
  • Experience of Linux systems development using Yocto Project.
  • Experience with Linux user and kernel mode development.
  • Experience of debugging complex systems problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent.

Description -We are looking for a

Description -We are looking for a Linux Systems Software Developer to join the HP Wolf Security R&D team in Cambridge, UK. We work on endpoint software security products based on hardware assisted virtualization. You can check out uXen source code, one of our in-house developed hypervisors, on GitHub: https://github.com/uxen-virt/uxen.

You will be joining one of our advanced product teams. You will be responsible for maintaining a Linux image used by virtual machine guests, keeping its open-source components up to date, as well as proactively monitoring for, and quickly responding to, security vulnerabilities that impact these components.

Requirements For The Linux Systems Software Developer

A great Linux Systems Software Developer will have-

  • Understanding of components in the OSI networking model with emphasis on TCP/IP protocols.
  • Experience with black box debugging.
  • Experience with Windows system (user and/or kernel mode) development.
