The Company:

Lorien Global is collaborating with a forward-thinking team based in Manchester, committed to delivering top-tier technology solutions. With increasing demand across the business, we are seeking two Senior Linux Administrators. This role is open to various locations in the UK and will be promoted accordingly.

The Role:

As a Senior Linux Administrator, you'll spearhead efforts to ensure peak performance, security, and availability of their systems. You will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining the Linux server estate, including the broader cloud platform and virtualised environments.

Working closely with the infrastructure team and stakeholders, you will provide technical support and guidance, fostering continuous improvement across the infrastructure platform.

This role offers the chance to engage with a range of modern technologies, tackle complex problems, and introduce new practices. Current projects include designing a new containerised architecture with Docker and Kubernetes.

The Requirements:

  • Familiarity with related technologies such as VMware, OnApp cloud management, and KVM
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux OS (CentOS, Ubuntu, or Debian)
  • Proficient in scripting (Bash/Python/Perl) * Understanding of managing networking infrastructure
  • Solid grasp of security concepts and tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
