Job Title: Linux Sys Admin
Location: Remote – With regular travel to the Midlands and across Europe
Salary: £50,000 - £58,000 per annum DOE

Cooper Lomaz is delighted to once again be in partnership with a global logistics company to source an experienced Linux Sys Admin. This role, will see you become part of a dedicated team supporting the business in the UK and Europe. While this position primarily remote, it will involve working closely with their UK offices, occasional travel to other offices across Europe is required.

Role Overview:
As a Linux Sys Admin, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our organization's Linux-based infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our Linux systems, as well as implementing and managing various software and applications. Your expertise in Linux administration will be vital in supporting the organization's technological goals and maintaining a high level of performance.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Support the data centre, cloud, and on-prem servers.
  • Implement and manage the company's Linux infrastructure.
  • Manage data platforms within the business.
  • Proactively test key systems to ensure disaster recovery procedures are kept up to date.
  • Ensure the continuous availability of the cloud systems and data centres.

  • Required Skills:
  • You must have extensive experience working in a Linux Sys Admin position.
  • Substantial experience with data protection software.
  • Proven background with cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Experience with Virtualisation technologies like VMware, Hyper-V.
  • Hold a background in following change management and problem management.
  • Able to collaborate across multiple teams in Data, Networks, and Applications support teams with ongoing projects.

  • Salary:
  • £50,000 - £58,000 per annum.
  • Working Location:
    This role is available on a remote pattern; however, regular travel to their office in the Midlands or in Europe is required and the cost will be covered by the company. Role is 40 hours per week, with some weekend cover after probation may be required.
