Job title: Linux Engineer – Trading

Experience Level: 4 years

Location: London

The role:

My client, an established FinTech organisation, is looking for a Junior-Mid Level Linux/Unix Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have around 4 years of experience and is likely seeking or currently in their 2nd role.

Initially, you will be required on-site 3-5 days during the training period. Once settled, this will reduce to 3 days.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing and deploying both Desktop and Server Linux/Unix based systems
2. Working on global solutions
3. Liaising with Developers, Traders, and various other teams
4. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning

Core experience required:

1. Strong experience with Linux / Unix
2. Understanding of Networking – TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Multicast, etc.
3. Scripting and Automation – Bash, Python, Shell, Ansible, etc.
4. Experience with Jira and Confluence (or other ITSM tooling) is highly desirable
