Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Linux Engineer with a strong foundation in DevOps, automation, and Python scripting. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure and development teams to maintain, optimize, and automate mission-critical trading systems. Responsibilities:

1. Support, manage, and optimize Linux-based trading infrastructure.
2. Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts using Python and other relevant technologies.
3. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of trading systems.
4. Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and traders to enhance system performance and reliability.
5. Implement and manage configuration management and deployment automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, or similar).
6. Ensure security best practices are followed in system configurations and deployments.
7. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements:

1. 1-6 years of experience as a Linux Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of Linux systems administration, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security.
3. Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and system integration.
4. Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
5. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies.
6. Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall configurations, etc.).
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation and efficiency.
9. Experience in trading, finance, or high-frequency/low-latency environments is a plus but not required.
