We are looking for a senior-level Cloud Engineer with strong Linux OS competency to be responsible for complex large scaled-out infrastructure deployments, implementations, and issues that may take several weeks or months to implement and/or resolve. You will need to apply creative problem-solving techniques to identify the source of various problems and keep management aware of every step along the way.

As part of the role, creating automation in a DevOps mindset, we are looking for fluency in Linux, plus at least one of the following:

• Ansible
• Terraform
• Python

You will be expected to proactively call out potential pitfalls that the product may experience using existing or planned methods and suggest architectural alternatives that may better serve the stability and security of the solution. You will also be responsible for solving the platform’s technical issues which can include OS level web server caching, message queuing, database server applications, server DNS, SMTP, or other software issues. Senior Engineers must continually propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the Cloud Products.

Requirements

• Must be able to work from Tuesday - Saturday, and join an On-Call rota to be available as an escalation point.
• Must be eligible to undergo SC Clearance (you need to have held a UK passport for 5 years).
• 2 days per week on-site in Cardiff (the rest of the time you may work remotely).
