Lining/Trenchless Team Leader - Robotic Cutting

Rochford, Essex (on site with travel)

Permanent, Full time (47.5 hours)

We are looking for a Lining/Trenchless Team Leader with a strong background in robotic cutting and trenchless utility techniques to join our growing team. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll be responsible for the safe, high-quality delivery of on-site project work, supervising operatives and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Whether you're leading a small team or overseeing complex trenchless installations, you'll play a key role in delivering top-quality utility services to our clients.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead and manage on-site trenchless works, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Robotic cutting works including plotting/re-opening laterals and use of robotic cutting including obstruction and intrusion removal.
  • To maintain and carry out basic repairs on cutting equipment.
  • CCTV works including pre and post CCTV surveys.
  • High pressure jetting works on pipes.
  • Install patch and full-length liners (ambient cure, hot cure, LED, UV).
  • Perform re-rounding, pipe bursting and slip lining works whereby existing pipe is replaced by pushing or pulling through new pipe where required.
  • Manhole chamber/renovation works including removal and reinstatement of benching, infiltration sealing and drilling/injection of resins and spray lining of manholes/chambers where required.
  • Plan future works alongside the Site Management team.
  • Complete risk assessments and brief team members and visitors when required.
  • Working away may be required.
What you'll need to bring

Essential:

  • Proven experience in robotic cutting works.
  • Trenchless/lining experience.
  • Experience working in a manual role eg. Groundworks, construction, drainage etc.
  • Leadership experience in the utilities or energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and health & safety compliance.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • CSCS Card
  • EUSR SHEA (Water / Multi-Utility)
  • SWQR Operative Certificate (Units 001-007 & 009)
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 2 minimum)
  • Plant/equipment operator certifications (preferred)
