Key Responsibilities

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline, with experience in an assembly engineering environment.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• UK local nationals.
• Knowledge of Airbus process and methods, understanding of SOIs.
• Strong technical knowledge of assembly processes, including fasteners, structural hardware, drilling, bolting, corrosion protection, and fuel tank sealing.
• Confident in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, with a solid understanding of wing structure, build processes, and M&P qualification procedures.
• Knowledge of Aircraft wings, understanding of the machining and assembly tolerance achievement and cost implications.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• CATIA V5 tool knowledge is added advantage.
• Able to work independently and engage with client technical approvers.

Qualifications & Experience

• Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline at degree level.
• 3-5 years of relevant assembly engineering experience.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of Airbus processes and SOIs is desirable.
• Familiarity with wing structures, manufacturing and assembly tolerances, and cost implications.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
