Dakota Hotel, based in South Queensferry, is seeking a reliable and hard-working individual to join our Housekeeping Team as a Linen Porter.

CONTRACT AND PAY RATE

Earnings are £12.21 per hour, paid weekly, with a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £22,222.

The role offers a permanent contract of at least 35 hours per week. Typical shifts will be any 5 days out of 7, including regular weekends.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Count linen deliveries and manage linen stock, including linen sent for laundering and in-house stock.
  • Strip beds and remove used linen and towels from guest rooms prior to servicing.
  • As relief cover, perform tasks of a Room Attendant/Housekeeper, including deep cleaning guest rooms and ensuite bathrooms, making beds, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Carry out heavier tasks such as mattress turning, setting up z-beds and cots.
  • Note guest preferences and requests to personalize stays, e.g., providing firm pillows.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including waste handling and manual handling.

Maintain knowledge of safe chemical handling and proper use of cleaning equipment such as steamers.
