Job summary

Gonville Hotel Cambridge is seeking a Linen Porter to join our team under Axiom Hospitality, reporting to the Head Housekeeper. You will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel and support with the laundry operation to ensure guests receive an excellent experience.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail‑oriented, and a reliable team player who can work with limited supervision while delivering exceptional guest service.

Gonville Hotel is a four-star hotel situated in the heart of Cambridge, overlooking the historic Parker's Piece. Being located centrally makes Gonville Hotel the perfect base for a stay in the city, attracting both holidaymakers and businesspeople. With a range of events and unique dining opportunities, our hotel is also a destination for people resident in the city.

We are currently recruiting for a Linen Porter to join our Truly Talented team. Reporting directly to the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel and supporting with the laundry operation. You will perform all required tasks and ensure that our guests are receiving an excellent guest experience.

What We Offer

• £AMOUNT per annum OR £AMOUNT per hour
• CONTRACT TYPE & HOURS Permanent, full-time contract (40hrs per week) OR Permanent, part-time contract (NUMBER hrs per week) OR Various flexible hours available

Your role

As a Linen Porter, your focus will be to support in creating positive and memorable experiences for guests through high standards of cleanliness and efficient service.

Responsibilities of the Linen Porter will include but are not limited to:

• Welcoming and acknowledging all guests; anticipating and addressing guests’ service needs;
• You will make sure that all guests rooms and public areas are beautifully presented to our guests, playing a key role in creating exceptional experiences;
• You will be responsible for the laundry operation, ensuring linen is delivered on time and performing checks to ensure linen is of high quality;
• You will ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is always delivered in line with our core values and standards.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.
