Job summary

Omega in Nottingham is recruiting a Production Line Engineer to join a highly automated facility. You will ensure hourly output targets are met, set up and optimise equipment, and act as the first line of response for breakdowns, driving rapid fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis.

Ideal candidates have Level 3 Engineering/Mechanics and demonstrate problem-solving within fast-paced manufacturing. Excellent pension and strong OT rates accompany a modern, safety-conscious operation.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Engineering/Mechanical qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude in manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to fault-find and repair mechanical, electrical or pneumatic equipment.
  • Experience in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to respond to breakdowns while managing planned maintenance.

Responsibilities - Production Line Engineer
  • Ensure production lines achieve hourly output and performance targets.

  • Ability to fault-find and repair mechanical, electrical or pneumatic equipment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to react to breakdowns while managing planned maintenance activities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to reliability and performance.
