Job summary

International Procurement and Logistics Limited (IPL) is seeking a Line Leader for our onsite Production Team at IPL Whittlesey. You will lead a production line to hit daily targets, maintain quality and safety, and ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.

The role runs Tuesday to Saturday, 7:45am–4:30pm, permanent site-based. You will deputise for the Shift Operation Leader when required and drive 5S and continuous improvement, working closely with packaging and QA to keep production

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a fast-moving produce production environment.
• Experience leading a small team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Good practical skills and the ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Excellent team-working skills.
• Awareness of Health and Safety.
• Willingness to work flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and organise an individual production line to meet daily production targets and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
• Ensure finished product meets customer specifications and is released as required.
• Be accountable for product quality and promote quality as everyone's responsibility.
• Complete daily checks and documentation, including start-up checks, handover, H&S and Fire Register.
• Promote a safety- and quality-focused culture and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Provide timely communication and detailed handovers to all stakeholders.
• Optimise the use of company resources in line with policy and procedures.
• Deputise for the Shift Operation Leader when needed.
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Record weights and ensure packaging labels are ready and accurate.
• Coordinate with packaging to avoid downtime and packaging issues.
• Verify products against Matrix for packaging accuracy.
