Company Description

IPS(Part of the Culina Group)is the largest co-packer in the UK, working with some of the best-known food brands to provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing, co-filling and co-manufacturing solutions.

We are now currently recruiting forLine Operativeson a part time basis at ourIPS Wakefieldsite.

Shifts: Monday-Friday Night shift - 20:00pm-06:00am

Salary: £14.30 per hour + £1.60 Nights allowance per hour.

Job Description
  • Ensuring that that the Production Line under their charge maximises the utilisation of the following 3 main resources of the business.
  • Reporting and communicating all issues affecting Production effectively.
  • Ensuring that all finished products and donor stocks always maintain their traceability and in accordance with the Culina IPS Production and Quality Procedures
  • Effectively motivating a team of people to meet production targets.
  • Ensuring the final product meets client specifications (SPI)
  • Effectively maximising production efficiency, to ensure plans are met on a hourly/daily basis
  • Adhering to and promoting best practice in accordance with company health, safety, and quality regulations
  • Ensuring all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assisting in developing a skills matrix for all production workers
  • Assisting in training and development of new starters
  • Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste.
Qualifications
  • Experience within a Production Environment is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner.
  • Knowledge of company procedures and actively demonstrates compliance.
  • Able to positively lead a team of people (temporary labour)
  • Recognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement.
  • Displays a positive attitude to change
  • Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in all aspects of performance.
  • Experience of working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities
  • Experience of manufacturing machinery and processes
  • Preferably food or packing experience
