KPI Recruiting are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Line Leader to join a busy production facility. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, food production experience, and the ability to manage operations on a production line confidently and independently.

As Line Leader, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of your line, maintaining product quality, and supporting your team to meet performance targets. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to train others, and strict adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a small team on the production line
  • Operate and monitor machinery safely and efficiently
  • Conduct regular quality, hygiene, and safety checks
  • Ensure production targets and KPIs are met
  • Complete accurate records and documentation
  • Oversee line start-up and shut-down procedures
  • Train and support new line operatives
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and QA teams
  • Maintain full compliance with food safety and health & safety standards

Requirements:

  • Experience in food production or FMCG (essential)
  • Previous line leadership or team supervision experience
  • Skilled in operating production machinery
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Proactive, reliable, and results-driven

Working Hours:

  • 06:00 – 15:00 (1-hour unpaid break)
  • Two shift pattern options:
    • Sunday to Friday with Wednesday and Saturday off
    • Sunday to Friday with Thursday and Saturday off

Pay & Progression:

  • Starting pay: £12.25 per hour
  • Increases to £12.62 after probation
  • Potential to rise to £13.91 upon successful training on FLT, PPT, and all 3 production lines
  • Temp-to-perm contract – permanent role offered after 12 weeks if probation is passed
