Job summary

IPS is recruiting a Line Leader for the Markham Vale site in the United Kingdom. The role shifts on a Monday–Friday rotation from 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00, with an hourly rate of £14.01.

You will lead a team to meet production targets, ensure product specifications, and drive continuous improvement while adhering to GMP and health & safety standards. The successful candidate will have FMCG manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage labour and line targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to meet production targets.
• Ensure final product meets client specifications (SPI).
• Maximise production efficiency on an hourly/daily basis.

• Adhere to GMP and housekeeping standards.
• Complete paperwork and systems as per procedures.
• Maintain hygiene and audit readiness; support audits.
• Liaise with agency controllers and brief on productivity.
• Attend team leader meetings and train new starters.
• Drive continuous improvement and personal development.
• Participate in the company appraisal system.
• Take on additional duties as required.

We are now currently recruiting for a Line Leader on a Full Time basis at our IPS Markham Vale 1 site.

Job Description

Shift: Monday-Friday rotation shift (06:00am-14:00pm and 14:00pm-22:00pm rotating weekly).

Salary: £14.01 per hour.

Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

• To effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets
• Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI)
• To effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis
• Effectively use the integrated management system (Vision)
• To adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations
• To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures
• To ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external
• To ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to
• To liaise with agency controllers on a day to day basis providing feedback regarding agency workers
• To attend team leader meetings
• To assist in the training and development of new starters
• To act as a role model for best practice
• Monitor, control and minimise waste
• Play an active part in continuous improvement
• To conduct RTW and disciplinary interviews as required
• To participate in the companies appraisal system
• Drive own personal development through training and work based experience
• To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post
