Get to Know This Role

The Line Cook II collaborates with all Back of the House staff to prepare, cook, and serve food for onsite guests, delivery, and to-go orders. They follow recipes, plating guides, and SOPs to ensure food quality and safety. The role requires developing comprehensive knowledge of assigned stations and working flexible shifts to perform essential duties. The Line Cook II operates grills, fryers, broilers, and other equipment efficiently, communicates daily needs, and suggests improvements.

What You Will Do
  • Prepare all foods according to standardized recipes approved by supervisory staff
  • Handle opening and closing SOPs and assist others as needed
  • Maintain appropriate food quantities and communicate adjustments
  • Ensure equipment and work areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained
  • Organize and rotate stock to ensure freshness and quality
  • Participate in regular training sessions and updates
  • Monitor station for sanitation, safety, and operational needs, reporting concerns
  • Receive, organize, and rotate shipments following FIFO and safety standards
  • Comply with all relevant laws and health regulations
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen as a line cook
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple activities
  • Intermediate knowledge of prep, sanitation, and kitchen operations
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork
  • Basic understanding of food products and cooking methods
  • Ability to communicate concerns and adjustments promptly
  • Basic math skills for recipes and measurements
  • Ability to adapt recipes for different yields and identify quality issues
  • Proficient in knife skills with a focus on safety
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
