Job summary

Almond Family Pubs are seeking a brilliant Chef to join The Station House in Cheadle Hulme. This busy, premium, food-led site handles high-volume service with 200 indoor covers and 230 outside, offering the chance to work with an experienced kitchen team in a supportive family-owned group.

You will prepare and present high-quality dishes, mentor junior staff, and help maintain food hygiene and consistency while progressing within the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen, ideally at CDP or strong Commis Chef level.
• Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
• Capable of running a section and maintaining consistency and quality.
• Willingness to learn and progress within the business.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and busy service times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with standards.
• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef in day-to-day operations.
• Take responsibility for a specific kitchen section.
• Maintain high food hygiene and safety at all times.
• Mentor and train junior kitchen staff.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients.
• Follow recipes and portion controls; work efficiently to deadlines.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused kitchen environment.
