Job summary

SRUC Veterinary Services seeks a LIMS Operational Analyst to oversee the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the LIMS platform that underpins laboratory and disease surveillance activities. You will be the main subject matter expert, bridging operational users and Information and Digital Services (IDS).

• Applicants should hold a minimum of SCQF Level 5 (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Mathematics, demonstrating a sound foundation in literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of LIMS.
• Act as the principal Veterinary Services subject matter expert for LIMS, serving as the key liaison between operational users and IDS.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure successful implementation of system changes.
• Drive ongoing development and optimisation of LIMS to enhance service delivery, data quality and business efficiency.
• Support management of approximately 600,000 samples annually and ensure regulatory compliance.
