Job summary

SRUC Veterinary Services provides disease surveillance and analytical testing via our Veterinary and Analytical Laboratory and a network of disease surveillance hubs across Scotland, supporting UK and international clients with diagnostic expertise and practical advice.

The role focuses on preparing and processing samples for internal labs and external providers, couriering samples and performing general administrative duties, with occasional basic testing and customer support via phone, email

Qualifications

• SCQF Level 4, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Unpack, register, prepare, process, and distribute samples.
• Provide customer support via telephone and email for external customers.
• Carry out limited straightforward testing as required.
• Aliquot samples and process samples for further testing using the equipment provided.
• Carry basic administrative tasks for disciplines within VAL or health schemes as required.
