Job Description:

To carry out lighting planned maintenance and emergency repair work in ASDA stores to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.

Key Accountabilities:

1. To complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and according to procedures.
2. To respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assess the requirements, and carry out repairs as necessary.
3. To prioritize maintenance and repair work to meet response times and deadlines.
4. To order spares following laid-down procedures.

Qualities / Experience:

• Recognized electrical qualification
• 18th Edition
• Electrical - Edition Wiring Regulations
• Health & Safety training for working on Filling Station lighting (City-delivered course)

Desirable but not essential:

• GCSE standard
• Basic installation and repair of lighting in stores, e.g., cable glands, conduits, track, light density and spread, cable types, and loadings
• PC literate

The ideal candidate:

• Full current driving license
• Flexibility to stay away from home occasionally
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts if required
