Overview

Lighting Technician – FM Service Provider - Commercial Building – South Kensington, South West London – up to £40,000

CBW are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lighting Technician to join our client at a key location in South Kensington. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lighting systems for commercial environments. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and a stable weekday work schedule. This person will be responsible for undertaking PAT testing and Lamping, including emergency lighting.

Package & Working Hours
  • A basic salary of up to £40,000
  • Monday to Friday - 07:00 - 16:00
  • Plenty of overtime
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and operate a wide range of lighting equipment.
  • Set up lighting rigs and fixtures to meet design requirements.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs to ensure all lighting systems are safe and functional.
  • Interpret lighting plans and collaborate with designers, engineers, or production staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of lighting equipment and order replacements or upgrades when necessary.
  • Provide support during events or productions as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements
  • Electrically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2 (Essential) Level 3 (Preferred)
  • City & Guilds - 18th Edition
  • PAT Testing (Desirable)
  • Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Good communication skills
