Job summary

Creative Technology in the UK is seeking a Prep Engineer in the Lighting Department. You will assist with the preparation and maintenance of lighting fixtures, control equipment, atmospherics/FX gear, data and mains cabling, mains distribution and related equipment in our warehouse, and provide on-site remote support for these systems.

The role requires the ability to work within a wider team and across departments, with strong prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Building and configuring lighting control systems, including racks with processors, network switches, DMX nodes and buffers.
• Prepping and testing moving and static lighting fixtures, lighting consoles and control equipment, FX gear, power and data cabling, and mains distribution.
• Packing prepped equipment to prevent damage in transit and ensure readiness for on-site deployment.
• Completing quality control on prepped systems prior to shipping.
• Monitoring and reporting losses and damages to department equipment.
• Monitoring future rental requirements and reporting shortfalls to relevant teams.
