ATG Productions is recruiting for a Lighting No.1 to join the backstage team for a touring 3-hander comedy. Rehearsals in London start Jan 2027 with tech week to follow. The role operates the lighting and leads the LX department across multiple venues under UKT Equity or Bectu agreements.

Applicants must have relevant theatre lighting training or experience and the right to work in the UK. This is a touring production with duties including load-in/out and close collaboration with the Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION – LIGHTING NO.1

Those normally expected of a LX No. 1 of a first-class touring production, as such expression is usually understood. Your duties will include (but are not limited to) working with the Associate Lighting Designer to achieve the lighting requirements for the production and the overall manner in which it is to be presented on the stage, including operating the production throughout technical rehearsals and performances, and managing the rest of the LX department (currently planned to be an LX 2 and a tech swing on the days assigned to the lighting department). Your duties will include relighting the show for each venue and the completion of the load-in (joining from Tuesday morning) ahead of each first performance, as well as get-out following the final performance at each venue. The Producer reserves the right to edit your involvement in the load in/load out schedule as the tour progresses.
