Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the asset lifecycle of street lighting and electrical assets, including feeder pillars, lighting columns, lanterns, illuminated signs, bollards, and subways.
- Develop feasibility studies and preliminary designs for asset improvements and/or renewals.
- Compile and check relevant documents, evidence, and options for value management.
- Evaluate new techniques, materials, buildability, and costs for project initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate asset data to develop early solutions aligned with agreed methodologies and prioritisation criteria.
- Prepare technical briefs for external design services contractors.
- Design highway renewals and maintenance schemes.
- Ensure health and safety considerations and wellbeing of customers and employees throughout service planning and delivery.
Job Requirements:
- Full driving licence with no more than 3 points.
- Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience in highway construction and delivery methods.
- Experience in the management, inspection, and design of electrical renewal schemes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and cable calculation software.
- Good knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
