The Role: We are looking for an experienced Lighting Control Technician to join our Equipment Prep team at Panalux in Hayes, London!

This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) requiring flexibility for a weekly shift rotation of early (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM) and late (11:00 AM - 8:00 PM) shifts, with approximately one weekend shift per month.

Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Prepare, test, and maintain moving lights, LED equipment and all associated control systems for rental, ensuring functionality and adherence to safety regulations.
  2. Work with other departments to ensure smooth equipment flow throughout the prep process.
  3. Liaise with shift leaders and Head of Departments on any equipment issues.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service by supporting crew requirements, troubleshooting issues, offering technical support, and ensuring seamless equipment fulfilment.
  5. Maintain a well-organized work area, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to efficient equipment dispatch and inventory management.
What you’ll bring to the role:
  1. Proven experience servicing lighting equipment and related accessories, in a rental house or a professional lighting environment.
  2. Demonstratable knowledge of moving lights and controls.
  3. Proactive in gaining further technical knowledge on all offered equipment.
  4. Strong understanding of electrical principles in a production lighting setting, evidenced by relevant qualifications or demonstrable practical experience in electronics or a related field.
  5. Enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service and solving problems efficiently.
  6. Self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude.
  7. Thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
